We have completed the supply, delivery, installation and commissioning of a 1000kVA MTU generator set for a protein plant in Cavan. The machine is operating in a DSU scheme and is fully synchronised with the mains system.
Currently in the latter stages of rebuilding a 500kVA caterpillar generator set. Engine works include new pistons, liners, main and shell bearings and refurbished heads. This machine will be as new when complete.
Extraction of the old machine and replaced with a new 1500kVA Perkins 4012/Leroy Somer Generator Set.
Design, build, install and commission on site London. The site was very challenging as the generator plant room was located at the rear access on the building which was the main service entrance to the Hospital. Installation was coordinated to effect minimum disruption to the running of the hospital.
This week saw the delivery of phase 1 of a power management package to a global manufacturing firm’s Northern Ireland base. The 1250kVA containerised generator will act as a standby to the main power system while major upgrades to the new HV system take place. It will blend in nicely to the surrounding buildings when new roof panels are fitted. GEMS Ltd delivered this equipment on time and on budget. Commissioning is expected to be completed by mid-March.
